My Little Pony Guide
Queen Chrysalis and her Changeling Army invade Equestria! Her army ransacks Twilight's castle, steals and then shatters the Elements of Harmony, kidnaps the citizens of Equestria and places them into changeling cocoons, and for some reason puts Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Rarity to sleep. But never fear, for Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, and Applejack stand up against the changeling menace and race to save Equestria!I will be blunt. As awesome as all of that sounds, in terms of story, there really isn't much of one. What you're given in the opening cut scene--which is also the only cut scene in the game is everything you are given in terms of plot. No dialogue from the characters in the game. No further cut scenes. It's a mishmash of plot elements that have already been shown on the show that have been tossed into a blender and puréed into a plot that is both immediately different from anything else in the series and undeniably familiar. It's literally window dressing for the gameplay to take place in. Considering that I started playing video games with the NES during the silver age of video games, this is a story telling technique that I am all too familiar with. The main focus of a video game is whether or not the game is playable. Not whether or not the story the is the video game equilvant of The Lord of the Rings. Sometimes it is okay to have something that is light on story, but heavy on fun and engaging gameplay. Especially on the games for your cellphone where what you're doing with those games is taking a short couple minute break from mind-numbing monotonous work to goof off for a few minutes.
They capture ponies in cocoons and smash a magical stained glass window. They also steal the Elements of Harmony, shatter them, and scatter them over Equestria. Six ponies are charged with saving the kingdom. The free app includes Pinky Pie, Twilight Sparkle, and Apple Jack. To complete the mission, kids must purchase Rarity, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash. For each piece of the window or Element of Harmony, kids chase a Changeling, clearing obstacles and fighting the Changelings as they progress. Sometimes they break a cocoon to set a pony free. Each level requires two or more ponies. Once kids complete a number of levels, they'll get missions involving four ponies in areas of the map that are not unlocked, so they'll have to quit playing or buy more content to continue. The game comes with three ponies/worlds unlocked, but kids can't complete the overall mission without purchasing three additional ponies/worlds. The game is a flash animated side scroller. Like the classic side scrollers of the bygone age of gaming, this means that for the entirety of the game you are running to the right side of the screen. The main objective of each level is to catch the lone changeling that is running away from our playable characters. In each level are various random obstacles to slow down your progress.
For each obstacle you usually get to choose which character you will use to get through it. Kids are often issued missions from the main screen that can't be completed without additional purchases, even if they haven't completed all the free content, and purchases lack a parent gate. Each level typically requires kids to throw rocks, apples, or other objects at the enemy Changelings. While app controls are simple, they often lack direction as to what to do, so some kids may be confused. This app takes your kid on a magical adventure to spread the spirit of friendship across Equestria. Gather all 6 ponies, use their special powers together and save the Tree of Harmony. Chase evil minions, solve puzzles and play fun mini games to bring back the six mystical jewels known to ponydom! The faster you hit that run button, the faster you'll be able to get your ponies to run. Be sure to either take a break after each run or be prepared to ice down your hand once in a while. Your will start to feel it after an hour or two. There are three unlocked ponies that players may use, but three that are locked – if a player clicks on any of these, players are offered various in-app purchasing options. They can buy any of the three individual ponies for $5.99, or can buy all three for $12.99. Each of these ponies unlock new levels/locations to explore, and have different powers. The objective of the game is to continue playing through levels, chasing changelings each time, in order to obtain all of the stolen items.

Chase evil minions, solve puzzles and play fun mini games to bring back the six mystical jewels known to ponydom! The app then shows the two ponies running after the changeling, getting closer and closer until they come across a particular obstacle – e.g. a locked door, a pile of hay, etc. Players must select one of their two ponies, each of which have different powers, to defeat and bypass the obstacle. For example, one particular pony can kick apples to knock objects off shelves or to move them out of the way. Another pony is able to slowly destroy items if they are moved across the area where their unicorn horn is positioned. Ponies are also able to kick objects at the changeling directly, injuring it and allowing them to progress. After 5-6 rounds of this, the ponies finally catch up to the changeling and a brief animation shows the changeling dropping their piece of shattered glass – this is then seen to be implanted back into the window. The next quest involves searching for elements of harmony. It is presented in the same format, utilising a set number of ponies, after which players must race through the level and overcome obstacles by using their individual pony’s powers.
